Banyak cara untuk menjual, baik barang maupun jasa. Mulai dari memasang iklan di internet maupun di depan lapak. Membuat kartu nama, brosur dan booklet, semuanya adalah cara menjual atau memasarkan produk.
Untuk sebagian orang, menjual berarti ada barang yang harus dia jual, tidak peduli apa barangnya, bagaimana kualitasnya, intinya barang tersebut harus dijual. Seperti tukang sayur yang biasa lewat di depan rumah, pastinya kebanyakan mereka akan membiarkan ibu-ibu mengerumuni dagangannya dan membayar. Karena apa? karena mereka sudah terlalu lelah untuk menjelaskan produknya, bagaimana kualitas ikan dan sayur yang mereka punya.
I bought a stone, an agate. I am 33 and i don't wear any ring or necklace. i am a straight person and i don't care about those stuffs. But lately i met my cousin, Sandy. He was a taxi driver and now he works for an actress. One day i visited his residence he told me that he had found two "diamonds" on the street. He tried to assure me that those stones are real diamonds. He demonstrated how the stones can scratch the mirror and make a line on it. He tried to prove me that those are real diamonds.
I have no knowledge about stones. I could not even differentiate platinum and silver. But i am a good motivator so that i motivated him to go to gold merchant to test the stones. After a while he tested the stones again and make a conclusion. "Yang ini asli 'daimen' nih Gus, yang satu lagi bukan", he concluded. His wife was a bit pesimist that those are diamonds but i encouraged them to ask somebody in gold shops to ensure the stone's quality.
Three weeks later i invited my family to have a family gathering meeting in parent's home. I met bang Sandy and he told us that he had checked the stones and one of them was a real diamond. I was very happy to hear that news. The stone's price was estimated about Rp. 7,5jt but without legal letter so the pawnshop only paid Rp. 2,5jt. What a lucky man!if i were him, i had no skill to differentiate which is the real diamond and which is not, i could just throw the stones away.

Dan sekarang, saya mengenakan batu akik madu yang saya beli dari bang Sandy. Batu yang bagus, ada garis cokelat kehitaman di dalamnya. Batu yang elegan dan penuh percaya diri. Batu ini menurut bang Sandy kurang pas dengan bulan kelahiran saya, cuma saya suka sekali dengan warna madunya. Jadilah ini melekat di jari saya sekarang.
Intinya dari penjelasannya tentang batu, bagaimana dia menyajikan resumenya dengan menunjukkan bahwa dia sama berkualitas dengan penyuka batu yang lebih senior (bapak saya dan temannya), dia menunjukkan bahwa dia punya keahalian khusus yang membuat saya kagum. Dan dia berhasil menjual batunya dengan sedikit antusiasme terhadap batu tersebut.
So, if you have special abilities, show them you can!!not now, maybe later you will be contacted with somebody who has ever heard your story, your expertise to help them.
